On 31.10.2022. In the hall of the Municipality of Valjevo, the non-governmental organization SALVOS organized a forum called “Together for a better life”, the topic of which was the prevention of drug addiction among minors.

The stands were opened by Mr. Milan Pekić, Director of the Office for Combating Drugs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, who was also one of the speakers. Given that drugs are a problem for the entire society, everyone should be involved in the fight against drugs and drug addiction – the police, health, education, civil society organizations, as well as the citizens themselves. It is necessary for the education of the youth to be a constant process, which will enter the educational system, emphasized the director of the Office, Mr. Pekić.

In order to approach the topic in the most comprehensive way possible, and in order to create an encouraging environment for a quality and healthy life for young people, the forum was attended by experts from various fields such as health, prosecution, education, clergy, as well as high school students, in what way those present would become as familiar as possible with the problem of addiction to narcotic drugs.

After the speaker's presentation, a discussion was opened with the guests, which resulted in an exchange of opinions, experiences and ideas.
