In the premises of the Vuk Theater, a forum was held as part of the 18th children’s theater festival “Zvezdarište” called “Listen first” on October 2. in 2023. The forum called “Listen first” was designed as an educational, interactive and multimedia forum created at the initiative of the municipality of Zvezdara, in which the global campaign “Listen first” was presented to the participants. The forum is dedicated to lectures on four topics important for raising children: the science of attachment, the science of family activities, the science of listening and the science of routine, and is intended for parents, teachers, and all those who work directly with children.The tribune is systematized in two units. The first unit is dedicated to the importance of implementing programs in the field of drug addiction prevention; the global campaign “Listen first”; about the success of the implementation of the campaign in the Republic of Serbia; on which occasion Ms. Glavendekić, on behalf of the United Nations Office for the Fight against Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and Ms. Cincarević, on behalf of the Office for Combating Drugs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, addressed the audience. In the second part of the forum, the representative of the municipality of Zvezdara, Mrs. Petrović, a psychologist and expert in the field of applied psychology, Mrs. Vulić, addressed the attendees, and in an instructive, affirming way, with examples from personal experience, presented each of the topics units that are accompanied by short animated videos of an educational nature. Education, learning and improvement of the necessary skills in order to promote the mental and social development of the child, is achieved by satisfying the child’s need for attention, stimulating the child with speech, playing and other activities. In this way, an optimal level is achieved between setting healthy boundaries for children and meeting their needs.

After the lecture, an interactive part of the forum was held in which the participants could highlight their remarks, suggestions, observations and ask questions to the audience. The suggestion that the largest number of forum participants made to the organizers is the development of a communication plan in the coming period, with the aim of informing the general public about the organization of educational forums on the importance of proper upbringing of children, and for the sake of educating as many parents as possible, as well as those who work directly with children.
