Representatives of the Office for Combating Drugs, in cooperation with the Association “Izlazak”, within the project “I choose recovery”, visited four Multidisciplinary Teams based in : Loznica, Šabac, Bačka Palanka and Sremska Mitrovica.

Multidisciplinary teams in local self- government units aim to develop a platform for vulnerable categories affected by the problem of addiction so that actors can support each other in efforts related to addiction, which are both for the benefit and mutual interest of the local community and users. Meetings of Multidisciplinary Teams were attended by representatives of relevant institutions on the local level, whose scope of work includes the protection of the rights of vulnerable categories affected by the problem of addiction.

The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the previous activities of the Mulidisciplinary Teams, as well as the current situation in the field of drug policy in specific local government, and preparatory activities related to the development of local action plans in the field of drugs and implementation of educational and preventive projects.
